Terms & Conditions
A legal disclaimer
These Terms apply to the Arrival mobile application (“Arrival”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) and are intended for worldwide use. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations, so some parts of these Terms may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Arrival, you agree to these Terms and the Arrival Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Arrival does
Arrival helps you set a destination (typically your drop-off point), tracks your trip progress, and alerts you when you are near your destination. If you grant permissions, Arrival may use location (including in the background while tracking) and notifications to provide alerts. Optional Live Activities may display trip progress and destination-related information on your Lock Screen/Dynamic Island.
2. No account required
Arrival does not require you to create an account. Some preferences and location history may be stored locally on your device.
3. Permissions and your responsibilities
A) Location
If you start tracking, Arrival may access your location while the app is in use and/or in the background during active tracking, depending on the permissions you select in iOS. If location access is limited or disabled, tracking and alerts may not function correctly.
B) Notifications
Notifications are strongly recommended because Arrival relies on alerts to notify you near your destination. If notifications are disabled, you may not receive alerts.
C) Device conditions
Arrival’s performance depends on factors outside our control, including GPS accuracy, signal/network availability, device volume/silent settings, Focus modes, notification settings, battery level/Low Power Mode, and iOS limitations. You are responsible for configuring your device in a way that supports alerts.
4. Safety disclaimer
Arrival is not a safety product and is not guaranteed to wake you in all circumstances. Do not rely on Arrival in situations where failure to alert could result in harm, legal issues, or financial loss. You remain responsible for your travel choices, timing, and personal safety.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
-
Use the app in violation of any law or regulation.
-
Circumvent paywalls, entitlement checks, or security features.
-
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
-
Interfere with or disrupt the app, its performance, or other users’ access.
6. Intellectual property
Arrival and all related content, trademarks, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You receive a limited license to use the app as described in the EULA below; you do not acquire ownership rights.
7. Third-party services
Arrival uses Apple technologies and services (for example: MapKit, iOS location services, notifications, Live Activities). Your use of those services may be subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
8. Premium features, purchases, and subscriptions (Subscription Terms)
Arrival may offer Premium access through:
-
3-month auto-renewing subscription
-
1-year auto-renewing subscription
-
Lifetime access (one-time purchase, non-renewing)
A) Prices and presentation
Prices are shown in the app’s purchase screen and may vary by country/region. Taxes may apply as determined by Apple.
B) Auto-renewing subscriptions (3-month and 1-year)
-
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
-
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
-
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
-
If you cancel, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
C) Lifetime access (one-time purchase)
-
Lifetime access is a one-time purchase (non-renewing).
-
“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Arrival app and its availability on the App Store, not the lifetime of the user or any particular device.
-
We may need to change, suspend, or discontinue the app or specific features (including Premium features) due to technical, legal, or business reasons. If this happens, we are not obligated to provide ongoing access on unsupported devices/OS versions or indefinitely.
D) Managing and canceling
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS: Settings → your name (Apple ID) → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
E) Trials and promotional offers (if offered)
If a free trial or introductory offer is offered, it will convert to a paid plan unless canceled before it ends. Apple determines eligibility and rules for trials/offers.
F) Refunds
Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.
G) Premium availability
Premium features are available while your subscription is active or while Lifetime access entitlement remains valid. If your subscription ends, the app may revert Premium-only settings back to free defaults.
9. Changes to the app, pricing, and Terms
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app (including features, Premium offerings, and pricing) at any time. We may update these Terms; the effective date will change when updates are published. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arrival is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that tracking, alerts, ETA/progress, or map results will be accurate, timely, or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of Arrival. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Apple for the app or related purchases in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim (or zero if you did not pay anything), except where such limits are prohibited by law.
12. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes (worldwide)
These Terms are governed by the laws of your place of residence to the extent required by mandatory consumer protection laws. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we are established.
If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve it informally. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where we are established, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires a different venue or method.
